Ethically Required to Remain Silent?
I recently came across an article relating to a lawyer's duty of confidentiality in representing a client. The circumstances surrounding the factual situation in the article may seem to "shock the conscience" of folks not involved in the legal profession or who have not attended law school.
However, one strong principle many of my fellow students, and probably all practitioners would articulate and express the utmost importance of is none other than the lawyer's duty of confidentiality to their client(s).

Software Vendors and Unauthorized Practice of Law
Software vendors should be sure to exercise due diligence when dealing with legal issues and/or legal advice, whether the software be engaged in assisting with bankruptcy petition preparation or any other forms/contractual preparation.
A recent Ninth Circuit case held that a bankruptcy petition software provider was engaged in fraud and the unauthorized practice of law. See In re Reynoso, No. 04-17190, 2007 WL 582719, at *6 (9th Cir. Feb. 27, 2007).
